Collaborative Imaging Hires Radiology Elite, Bud Dey, as VP of Business Development

“For a young organization such as ours to attract elites such as Bud, is an endorsement of our model and solutions for the future of radiology. We want to make sure that interest expressed by healthcare systems, clinical institutions and physicians are responded to in a timely and meaningful manner, and Bud is the right person to build a responsive, knowledgeable team to manage the requests we receive” Says CEO Dhruv Chopra about his excitement to welcome Bud Dey as Vice President of Business Development in Collaborative Imaging.

Dey brings more than 35 years of multi-sector experience in business development to the Collaborative Imaging team. His former positions include leadership in large private and academic radiology groups, consolidated groups, teleradiology, national industry vendors and private equity companies. “Bud has not only formed and led many large healthcare practices but has a solid grasp of the inter-connectivity that needs to exist between disparate systems. His being on the team will allow us to help bridge the gaps that have plagued practices for decades.” Says Chopra.

He adds “In addition, Bud shares our beliefs of the importance for practices to retain their independence and autonomy, and the adverse impacts consolidation has had on the industry not only for hospitals, and referring physicians, but also for the delivery of care to patients.”

“I joined Ci because I believe in their vision, leadership team and commitment to independent medical practices. I enjoy the energy and flexibility of young companies not burdened by traditional industry ” baggage” of what can’t happen, rather energized with a value proposition to “make it happen”.” Says Bud Dey.

Throughout his career, Dey consistently held leadership and business development roles at each company and is looked to as a reputable healthcare industry consultant. Dey’s goal with each new position is to leave the company better off than where it started. He holds an MBA from American University and is a certified medical practice executive through the Medical Group Management Association.
